The Country Club of Troy Men’s Invitational
The Troy Invitational is one of New York’s oldest and most respected men’s invitational golf tournaments, long know for drawing top amateur talent from accross the Northeast. From the start, our “Invy” attracted elite players. Jess W. Sweetser, who beat Bobby Jones and Chick Evans in the 1922 US Amateur, played in six Walker Cups and, in 1926, became the first American-born player to win the British Amateur. Jess was the inaugural “Invy” winner in 1934.
The Troy Invitational remains a point of pride for the club. With a balance of tradition and innovation, it continues to evolve while honoring its legacy, ensuring its future for the next generation of competitors.
