Michael P. Kucera

Proven experience in developing and organizing a variety of golf events, group activities, and other member added value programs, including expanded opportunities for women and junior golfers within the club’s “mission” through leagues and activities.

Award-winning teaching skills and tools on a personal level and as training Assistants in teaching skills.

Ensures that the staff of 20 employees provide the highest standards of service and courtesy to members and guests.

Matt Heighes

Assistant PGA Professional

Matt is a PGA Apprentice Professional and as such, on a career path in golf management.  He provides golf operations management and golf shop support to the Club Head Professional Mike Kucera.  Under guidance from Mike, Matt has developed expertise in teaching programs for youth and also clinics for all ages.  Matt has been at the Country Club of Troy for 4 years.

Competitive Record

• Finished 6th in Division III Championships(Pennsylvania )
• High School golf: qualified for Pennsylvania state championship 3 out of 4 years… Golfer of the year 4 straight years in high school.
• One of his PGA wins was in the SIRO Benefit tournament at Saratoga National, he Shot 69.

In addition to golf, Matt was appointed Membership Sales Manager for the Club during the off season.  He proved effective in representing Country Club of Troy at numerous business events, including the Chamber of Commerce, and in meeting and helping capture new memberships from businesses and individuals.
